Bonfire Night

Remember, remember!

The fifth of November,

The Gunpowder treason and plot;

I know of no reason

Why the Gunpowder treason

Should ever be forgot!

 I love bonfire night, fireworks night, Guy Fawkes night, whatever you want to call it. For as long as I can remember I have always gone to Battersea Park’s fireworks display, with the one exception of going to the Lord Mayor’s Show a few years ago. My dad isn’t really into it to be honest, but my mum always tried to make it a tradition to take me to see the fireworks when it isn’t raining. She’d drive us to the chip shop, park somewhere close to the gate and we’d eat in the car before the gates opened. I love it!

Although we haven’t been in a couple of years, because the weather was either horrible or I was still working in retail so I couldn’t get the evening off, this year’s a bit different though because my dad has pre-booked tickets for the fireworks at Alexandra Palace! So, of course, this is completely out of the ordinary, but should be completely awesome.

 The venue: Alexandra Palace

3pm: Gates open

6pm: Bonfire is lit

7:45pm: Laser Show starts

8pm: Fireworks display starts

There’s so much going on within the park that I needed to print off the map from their website.

Alexandra Palace - Ally Pally - Firework Display Map 2015

I mean Ally Pally actually has an ice rink, craft beer village, laser show, street food and fun fairs (that’s right plural!) And of course let’s not forget about the fireworks.

Did you go to a fireworks display this year?

Well, hi there!

I’ve never been one for ‘about me’ pages so let's keep it short and sweet: I'm 25 (so I guess you could assume I'm going through a quarter-life crisis), London-based, love food, oh, and partial to a rum-based drink... or just the rum tbh.
